Blogging Virgin...

My good mate Angela has just encouraged me to set up my very own blog. After reading hers, I was inspired !! This is me and Angela's gorgeous little girl, Audrey. I am very honoured to be Audrey's godmother and this was taken back in June, the first time I met her !!!

Because I'm an Australian living in London - I think a blog is a great way to keep in touch with my family and friends in Australia. If they choose too, they can just log onto here and keep up to date with what I'm doing and how I am. Cool.

So I guess I should start by talking a bit about myself. I guess a picture would help....I have aged a bit since these were taken, 30 odd years in fact. I look a little different now, I have a lot more hair, thank god !! I guess most of the people reading this know all the boring stuff like where I grew up, where I went to school etc so I'll skip over that.

I've been living in London now for nearly 8 years - time has just flown by, it seems only yesterday that I set up with my sister and her husband to explore the world. I've finally got used to the cloudy days and the overcrowded tubes and have surrounded myself with a nice group of friends.

I work in Television making documentaries about various subject matters - sometimes serious, sometimes not. I've made programmes about why people streak, how ugly people can make a lot of money, why the brits are so jealous of the aussies, the world's deadliest gangs, violence against the police, organ donation, why serial killers kill etc etc

I've just had 5 weeks off so have been very busy having lots of holidays ! I've been to Paris (France), Pego (Spain), Southwold (UK) and The Lake District (UK). Southwold is a very dodgy English seaside town so it was very weird to go from Pego (like a proper hot Aussie beach) to Southwold where it was raining.....wet sand is never a good thing.

I'm quite excited to start my new job on Monday. I don't like sitting still very much so looking forward to getting involved in the next subject matter.

Anyway - I think that's enough for my first ever post....I've recently joined the gym so I'm off to torture myself on the rowing machine.
