9 hours to go...

So I really should go to sleep soon so I can get some beauty sleep for the big swim but before I go, I just wanted to share some of the messages of support I've received over the last couple of weeks - it's these that have been keeping me going....

  • Good luck with you swim.. think its grand your doing this in memory of your nephew...
  • Swim to infinity and beyond girl...
  • good luck with the swim sue - you star.
  • very impressed by the way with what you're doing
  • I'm going for 1p per lap. I want to see 2000 laps. Or else.
  • good luck – we’ll be thinking of you !
  • Hope it all goes well...don't forget to take your armbands off...and don't swallow any of that nasty pool water...have fun doing it – it’s such a great cause. x
  • You’re welcome and really well done with your training – hope it goes well on sat x
  • Best of luck mate. You are a very good girl and it’s a great charity.
  • Hope that'll spur you on a little bit more!! Good luck mi darlin.......I think ur brilliant for doing this.xxx
  • Good luck Sue, deep breath. if in doubt, backstroke always serves for a little rest.
  • I had Mr Howard fly this tenner to you personally. You'd better earn it or he'll get angry.
  • you just brought tears to my eyes. good luck for tomorrow. i will be thinking of you. and Kieran. lots of love xx
  • I'm really proud of you Sue. Raising all that money for your charity is a wonderful, admirable effort.
  • Too easy mate and best of luck with your swim, enjoy and go hard.
  • Best of luck for the swim; the earplugs with definatly make all the difference!
  • What Next - the English Channel? :-)
  • Go Team Bever! I'm coming to cheer you on!
  • My admiration - swimming is sooo boring. One lap and you've done it - the rest is just repitition!
  • Outdoor swimming*. In February. Words fail me. You are wonderful women!
  • Who the **** is David Walliams - go Sue, go!
  • Good luck with the swim this weekend. I know you'll do well. It is so great everyone has got behind Ian and Libby for such an important event.
  • And finally, some important medical advice from my doctor friend Tamar:
    · stay off the beers tonight and eat a plate of carbs
    · don't swallow any water and remember not to breathe it in.
    · if you feel like you're sinking you're probably not moving your arms and legs enough.
    · remember to dry your hair before you go out in the cold.
    · just cos your skin goes wrinkly doesn't mean you've suddenly aged, or dehydrated.
With advice like that – how can I go wrong !!!
xx

* I didn't have the heart to tell her it was an indoor pool...
