Wildlife Producers all look the same...

I had the honour (and pleasure) of attending the Parthenon Party at Wildscreen a few weeks ago in Bristol. Wildscreen is a TV festival where Wildlife producers from all over the world to talk about, well, wildlife. And seeing as the company I presently work for (Parthenon Entertainment) makes loads of wildlife programmes, they let me come too ! Despite my lack of "natural history" or "wildlife" credits to my name - I was often greeted with shocked looks when I told people that I only make documentaries about "people". Shock ! Horror !

Arriving on the red carpet with Bev...
Parthenon sure know how to throw a party - there was a ice sculpture (made of the company's logo) where you got have shots of vodka straight from the horsese mouth; half naked models walking around with free apple martinis and champagne and photographers everywhere taking photos of us to make us feel special !
This is Kathy, a production manager and Phil, an edit assistant.
Phil (arriving again?), Zilke, an editor and the lovely Rob (my researcher on Masons)....

And finally the big wigs.... Carl, the MD giving his thank you speech...

And Peter, Natalie (my boss) and Danny....

What did I learn from the evening? All wildlife producers look the same, really, they do...
